 The AS 555 FENNEC is the powerful twin-engined version of the Fennec family. Fitted with 2 Turbomeca ARRIUS 1A engines, it benefits from the FADEC system (Full Authority Digital Control) wich makes piloting easier and safer.
Two version are available :
- AS555AN - Armed version
- AS555SN - Naval version
Its design calls for widespread use of composite materials (airframe, "Starflex" main rotor head, main blades , beam type tail rotor,etc...) The "STARFLEX" main rotor head use torsion and flexibility of the composite material.
