Eurocopter will have a high-profile presence at next week’s
2010 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in
Geneva, underscoring its role as the world’s leading helicopter supplier
for corporate transportation and VIP operators.
With a
modern product line of 12 different models – covering everything from
single-engine aircraft to multi-mission twins – Eurocopter has sold more
than 500 helicopters in the corporate, business aviation and VIP
markets during the past four years.
To meet these sectors’
evolving needs and requirements, Eurocopter is constantly applying the
company’s innovation to develop new products and further enhance its
aircraft in terms of comfort, flexibility and style, as well making them
even more environmentally friendly.
This includes the 2007
launch of the EC135 by Hermès, a concept that brings high-end design and
elegance to Eurocopter’s popular twin-engine EC135; and Stylence, a
combination of style and silence that provides fully-equipped, highly
functional in-flight offices for business executives and companies, and
which has been applied since 2003 to the EC120, EC130, EC145 helicopters
as well the AS350/AS355 Ecureuil family.
“We are committed to
bringing ground-breaking and creative products to the market. This will
be highlighted again at EBACE 2010, where we will unveil our latest
innovation in terms of design and style”, said Eurocopter CEO Lutz
Bertling. “This newest concept will be Eurocopter’s third major
initiative of this type in seven years and will further strengthen our
offer to corporate and VIP customers worldwide”.

Eurocopter also is maintaining its focus on enhancing the
eco-friendliness of its helicopters, which is supported by significant
investments in improving rotary-wing aircraft performance and specific
fuel consumption, as well as lowering emissions and reducing noise
levels. Today, Eurocopter is at the forefront of these areas with its
internally-funded research and development efforts, along with the
company’s participation in international programs to provide innovative
“green” rotary-wing solutions.
Eurocopter will be exhibiting on
Stand 7010 during the 2010 European Business Aviation Convention &
Exhibition, which is being held May 4-6 at the Geneva PALEXPO exhibition
center.
