Eurocopter highlights Product Efficiency and growing Scope of Services at Heli-Expo 2009 First Presentation of EC175 Corporate Interior Concept
EC175
Eurocopter has re-configured its EC175 full-scale mock-up - first unveiled at Heli-Expo 2008 - as a concept demonstrator for corporate missions, inviting customers and media to experience its interior layout and aiming at listening to future market needs. With 111 EC175s ordered at last year’s Heli-Expo by Oil and Gas operators, the company strives to obtain customer proposals and requirements for other missions, notably for corporate and executive transport missions, while keeping the aircraft easy to retrofit and fully reversible for a variety of missions and economical solutions.

The EC175 is a multi-role helicopter that can fulfill a large scope of missions including Oil & Gas transport, Search and Rescue (SAR), Public Services (Homeland Security & Law Enforcement, EMS, Air Ambulance), as well as top-of-the-line business and commercial aviation. It is the roomiest, safest, easiest to fly, cheapest to maintain, most comfortable, most cost-effective workhorse in its class. And, it is designed to be eco-friendly from the outset.

Light Helicopter Family
Eurocopter’s large family of light single-engine and twin-engine helicopters remains the preferred choice of customers worldwide due its extraordinary mission flexibility. The AS350, EC135 and EC145 each offer top performance in their respective classes while up to 50 optional equipment kits for each of these aircraft make them simple to retrofit and suitable for a multitude of mission requirements.

Support, Services and Training
A large portion of Eurocopter’s booth is devoted to new customer support, services and training offers. In line with its goal to become a full mission solutions provider rather than being just a helicopter manufacturers, Eurocopter has invested heavily in full-flight simulators, flight training devices and training aids, successively installing these in all its key markets around the world in response to customer requirements. Combined with a multitude of technical courses offered at the company’s Training Academies, the simulator capabilities serve to significantly enhance flight safety, this being a key priority for Eurocopter. With new logistics hubs in Europe, the United States and Hong Kong, the company has also ramped up its service capabilities to provide round-the-clock support to its customers around the globe.
