Eurocopter Southern Africa, proudly supported by Carl Zeiss Optronics, Denel Aviation and Turbomeca Africa hosted customers to a fun-filled golf day at the Pecanwood Golf and Country Club on the 6th October 2009.
Guests, representing our civil customers and government sector partners, took advantage of the day in the sun to network while playing 18 holes on the challenging Jack Nicklaus course.
Players were helped along with spirit-boosting refreshments and the sparkling wit and generous verbal encouragement of Eurocopter’s hospitality team.
For most (some spent more time in the bunkers than on the fairways and greens), an enjoyable day’s play was followed by a sumptuous dinner and an awards ceremony during which Carl Zeiss Optrononics presented its annual “Best Airborne Footage Awards”.
This award is presented to the airborne teams that recorded the best airborne rescue, chase, apprehension or surveillance video footage using ZOSA airborne observation system.
Master of Ceremonies for the evening was former CNN sports reporter and Highveld 94.7 FM’s Rude Awakening’s Graeme Joffe.
Eurocopter thanks all of the sponsors for their contributions which went a long way to making this an entertaining, constructive and sporty event.
