Eurocopter Southern Africa’s first Roadshow was launched in 2007 with resounding success. 

At the outset, the Human Resource department envisioned that the purpose of the Roadshow would be Communication and solution seeking - in the form of presentations on company related information i.e Company performance, large scale changes that could potentially impact on employees, results of the annual employee survey etc.  The Roadshow was also viewed as an opportunity for team building i.e based on the results of the employee survey, employees would brainstorm ideas and identify solutions to improve various aspects of the operations that required improvement. Depending on the viability of the ideas, the company would select solutions for implementation.

Each year, the company strives to ensure that information presented at the Roadshow is current, interesting and of practical use to employees. The company’s intention was that employees should depart from the Roadshow feeling energized and empowered.

On the 3rd April 2009, Eurocopter conducted its fifth Roadshow. Some of the new topics presented were Security in South Africa, Aviation Safety, Company Objectives and a workshop on a topic of strategic impact.  Teams of Eurocopter employees and managers worked together on ideas to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations. Each team elected a representative to present their ideas to the entire company.

Senior management were awe struck by the hard work and thought that went into the ideas. It was clear to all that the entire Eurocopter team was committed to playing a role in doing what they could to take the company forward and secure it’s future in light of the current economic climate.  The energy was unmistakable, the Roadshow, a success.
